Anne O'Connor considers herself lucky to have been raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The U.P. is where she first fell in love with Michigan's landscapes, from snow covered birches to sailboats on the lakes. Her art has always been inspired by the colors and textures found outdoors.

Anne's venture into art began with watercolor painting. As she grew into different mediums, she tried to stay true to those roots. For example, when she glass fuses she paints with glass to create her individual pieces. Combining different techniques has helped Anne to develop several signature styles throughout her work with glass, clay, pottery and painting.

Creating art that illustrates the beauty of Michigan has become increasingly important. Michigan is one of the strongest and most beautiful states in the country and she is blessed to create art that shows the seasons of this great state from an unique perspective.
